King Elementary School is committed to the goal of providing quality education for every child in our school. The staff believes that improving student academic achievements requires that students, parent and teachers work closely together to support a positive learning environment and provide opportunities for addi-tional practice when needed.

As a Title 1 schoolwide building, King Elementary School may offer supplemental services in the area of reading, math, writing, and/or readiness skills to students needing additional assistance before, during, or af-ter the school day. Students qualify through a selection process based on state and/or district assessments. The goal is to accelerate learning in small group or individual instruction beyond the classroom reading and or math instruction. Students enter and exit the Title 1 program based on their academic progress.

Parents can stay informed and guide their child’s education by using the different links provided in the Parent Resources tab on the district’s home website. For students of all levels, parents can view test results and send messages to teachers. For middle school and high school students, class schedules, assignments, and progress grades can be viewed. Parents will need to contact their child’s school to complete a Parent @ccess Account Request form and obtain a login and password for parent access.

If for some reason you do not wish your child to participate in the Title 1 schoolwide program, please contact our school for an appointment with myself and the intervention specialist to discuss your child’s educational placement and academic goals.
